Chinese Kung Fu - Zha Quan
'Zha
Quan' is one of the northern styles of kung fu. Not a lot
is known about the origings of the style. It's believed that the Zha
style was created during the Ming dynasty (1368 - 1644), and handed
down by a Zha family of the Hui people (The largest minority of China,
muslims). The style has become popular in the north of China.
A very popular
form of the 'Zha' style is 'Tantui'. 'Tantui'
means 'spring leg boxing'. It's a very popular form, practised
througout al of China. It's a very good basic form, that supports
advanced kung fu techniques.
