There are literally
thousends of films made about kung-fu, so many that the 'kung-fu film' has
become an industry on its own. In China the kung fu films have been popular for
decades. In the west they have been made popular by Bruce Lee in the l960's.
Ever since the kung-fu film has been there to stay...
In China the 'traditional'
kung-fu films have always been very popular, films that tell legends and folk
stories, films where the kung-fu masters have supernatural powers and fly...
In
the west the kung-fu (martial arts) films were usually a battle between the good and the bad,
but more realistic. Since 'Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon' also the more
traditional kung-fu movie seems to be popularized in the west.
Of course
we don't know
all the movies, series, and documentaries, nor all the actors, but we like them enough
to devote a section on this site to them !
