the new interest in kung fu, after the cultural revolution in the
end of the 20th century, the Shaolin temple has been restored in
its original state. From all over the world people come to
the temple to learn authentic Shaolin kung fu, and train with the
monks. Especially when in 1983 the movie with Jet Li (Li Lian Ji),
'The Shaolin Temple', came out, the Shaolin temple and its kung fu
became extremely popular all over the world. And this popularity
doesn't seem to end. The Shaolin temple has become a real 'Mecca'
for the martial arts lover worldwide...
Today
Shaolin kung fu is known all around the world, and the training of
Shaolin kung fu isnīt limited to a just a few anymore.
Shaolin
kung fu has spread on all of the continents, and Shaolin temples,
schools, and practitioners can be found everywhere these days.
The
only problem these days is that lots of schools and their masters
claim to bring to you the real Shaolin kung fu, while
unfortunately often just offering you modern, contemporary
wushu...
