Shaolin Kung Fu Styles

Luohan Quan (Buddhist Dicipel Boxing) (01)

The Shaolin Luohan Quan (Arhat Boxing) style is the oldest, and one of the most famous and important styles in Shaolin kung fu. It was the first style to be developed after the 18 techniques of Bodidharma, and it has influenced the other styles of Shaolin kung fu a lot.

The 'Xiao Luohan Quan' (Small Arhat Boxing) form is a difficult, but not very long form. The most known feature of the Luohan Quan is the 'sleeping arhat' position.

The 'Da Luohan Quan' (Big Arhat Boxing) form differs a lot from the 'Xiao Luohan Quan' form. There are two 'Da Luohan Quan' forms. The first is a shorter and simplified version. The second form is a very long form, and therefore rarely seen (in its complete version). It is a very difficult form to perform.
