Shi Xing Ying
Master
Shi Xing Ying is a 32nd generation disciple of the Henan Shaolin
Temple in China. He began studying Shaolin Kung Fu at the age of
6. Shortly thereafter, 31st generation monks Shi De Yu and Shi De
Ren accepted him as a disciple and gave him the Buddhist name Shi
Xing Ying. By 11-years-old, Shi Xing Ying had mastered the Shaolin
curriculum and was qualified as one of the very few instructors
allowed to instruct Shaolin Martial Arts on behalf of the Shaolin
Temple. In 1994, Master Shi Xing Ying won the honorable title of
The Grand Champion of The Shaolin International Festival
Competition of China.
After several years of performing on the Shaolin Kung Fu World
Tours, Master Shi Xing Ying was requested by the temple to
relocate to San Francisco to teach Shaolin Martial Arts to Western
practitioners. Currently, Master Shi Xing Ying has relocated to
Texas where he has established, and is independently teaching at
the International Shaolin Wushu Center.
Master Shi Xing Ying specializes in Shaolin wushu, 18 weapons,
long fist, tai-chi, self-defense, and Shaolin-Style kung fu and
sparring. Master Shi Xing Ying specializes so well in Shaolin Kung
Fu, he is known as the "Monkey King" (in reference to
Sun Wu Kong in Journey to the West) in the Henan Shaolin
Temple.
